This exhibition included several new pieces of work, including a collage of Glasgow Royal Concert Hall shown in public for the first time. The challenge of creating this work was to represent the architecture of this modern iconic building whilst highlighting its significant musical importance as a world class venue.
The bicentenary of the birth of renowned Glasgow architect Alexander ‘Greek’ Thomson was celebrated in 2017. As a tribute to this event, I also included two collages inspired by The Parthenon and The Acropolis in Athens, the Classical Greek architecture and design that so inspired Thomson, alongside several collages depicting the detailed features of Thomson’s buildings.
This exhibition was supported by Glasgow Doors Open Days 2017 and Glasgow Life.
